Joo Ji Hoon, who was one of the lead actors in the MBC's 2004 drama, "Goong" (also known as Princess Hours), was announced to be joining the star-studded line up of the network's upcoming soap,"Medical Top Team."
The actor stars in a drama only for the 4th time, because of the things the occurred in his career.
It was 2009, when Joo Ji Hoon was arrested because of alleged use of the drug ecstasy. He pleaded guilty in court to drug use of ecstasy and ketamine, therefore, making him jailed for six months, paid the fine of 360,000 KRW, took 120-hour community service and has been suspended for one year.
2010 when he also did not have a chance to make a comeback on television because he enlisted in the army serving his mandatory service, though, he co-starred in a military musical, "Voyage Of Life," together with actor, Lee Joon-gi. He was discharged from the military last November 2011.
After being discharged, Joo Ji Hoon signed with KeyEast Entertainment, earning him a comeback project, "Doctor Zhivago," which was a musical. But he dropped out from the said musical project two weeks before opening due to injured vocal chords, doctor suggested him to take a rest.
His real acting comeback was just this August for a film, "I am King," wherein he again played a role of a prince.
Joo Ji Hoon is set to play a renowned physician named, Han Seung Jae for "Medical Top Team," together with Oh Yeon Seo, Kang Sang Woo and Shinee's Choi Min Ho. The said drama will premiere on October 3.
