The girls of Crayon Pop have been involved recently with plagiarizing outfits from a famous Japanese girl group. However it seems that they are again entangled in another plagiarism issue, not for copying outfits but getting the melody of another Japanese song.

Japan's J-CAST News has previously reported, "The beginning to Crayon Pop's new song has been criticized as being exactly the same as that of the theme song for 'Lupin the Third,' an anime famous even in Korea."

The report cited Japanese netizens who expressed that the introduction of Crayon Pop's "Kkurismas" ("Lonely Christmas") has the same sound to the theme song of famous animation "Lupin the Third."

This issue has become the most talked about amongst online netizens, which majority have said that the first ten seconds are surprisingly similar.

In the meantime, Chrome Entertainment, the girls' agency, has been lost by the sudden plagiarism controversy. In an interview with Newsen on December 3, they stated that "We are trying to contact the composer for 'Kkurismas.' It is difficult to determine if there has been any plagiarism at this point in time." The said songwriter is Kim Yoo Min, who has also written "Bar Bar Bar."

Crayon Pop gained popularity with their hit track "Bar Bar Bar," which even faced allegations of copying outfit concepts from Japanese girl group Momoiro Clover Z. Recently, the plagiarism issue had been going around only within Korea, but now with the topic of plagiarism circulating in Japan, the recent events will surely be dug up.
