Chinese Version of "The Heirs" Now In The Works

The Chinese version of "The Heirs" will begin filming very soon. Chinese new outlets reported on December 26 that a Chinese production company has officially bought the rights to recreate the hit drama series "The Heirs".

Chinese new outlets reported on December 26 that a Chinese production company has officially bought the rights to recreate the hit drama series "The Heirs".

According to sources the Chinese version will begin filming in January and will be a joint project by Chinese producer Li Shao Hong and Korean director Oh Sang Won. However, the official cast list that will take on the roles of Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, and Kim Woo Bin has yet been revealed.

Back in November, "The Heirs" has already proven itself to be a production heavyweight after Hwa and Dam Pictures revealed that the company signed a foreign production contract for "The Heirs" at such a high price-the highest, reportedly, in Korean drama history.

Aside from China, publication rights for "The Heirs" have also been acquired by many other countries including 12 in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
