Another K-pop star is being slammed with plagiarism charges. Beenzino’s latest track “Dali, Van, Picasso” is gaining a lot of interest due to claims saying it is a rip off of German rapper Fiva MC’s “Süd Sehen”. Videos comparing both tracks have been sweeping YouTube, giving listeners proof that Beenzino’s song is indeed plagiarised.
One commenter said, “This isn’t [just] sampling. The songs can’t be more similar.” Listeners have pointed out that the most strikingly similar parts are the intro.
In an interview with Daily Sports on January 20, Beenzino’s agency commented, “We are currently discussing the matter with the composer of the song. Only the lyrics are by Beenzino, the songs was composed and arranged by Peejay.”
Beenzino started off as a rapper of Primary School’s “Daily Apartment” in 2009. He gained a huge following with the release of his solo album “24:26” which contains the track, “Dali, Van, Picasso”
