In an interview with "W Korea", LEESANG member Gary opened up about his transformation from a funny guy in "Running Man" and the serious artist behind the now controversial hit "Shower Later".
It was previously announced that Gary's "Shower Later" MV has been deemed inappropriate for national television broadcast by TV network SBS. In the interview, Gary commented on the ban placed on his 19+ rated track. "It might seem strange to see a different image from my funny image on 'Running Man' as you listen to my songs. But, if you're a fan of Leessang's serious lyrics, you might think that my new stuff feels light in comparison... I felt that in order to break these molds to move forward, that's what I needed to do. I uncensored myself as much as possible as I recorded the album."
Despite the ban, Gary has shown no intention of modifying the track to create a more broadcast-friendly version. The songs itself was lashed for containing sexual innuendos and the music video caused a huge buzz for containing suggestive scenes involving women.
You can catch Gary's full interview and photo spread in the February issue of "W Korea". He has also released his latest album, "MR. GAE".
