Jaekyung Found Out To Have Developed Eye Problems From Wearing Lenses

During KBS 2TV's recent of "Vitamin", it was revealed that Rainbow BLAXX member had a developing serious problem.

During KBS 2TV's recent of "Vitamin", it was revealed that Rainbow BLAXX member had a developing eye problem.

The show's topic was on this generation's health problems concerning the eyes, which is acquired from constant viewing screens such as TVs, cell phones, and computers.

The Rainbow BLAXX member turned out to have serious dry eyes and other symptoms suggesting increased eye problems as a result of constantly wearing circle lenses.

Jaekyung commented, "My vision was never that good to begin with, so I had to wear glasses all the time. But when I'm promoting, I have no choice but wear lenses. However, when I am to wear lenses, I choose the circle lenses most of the time because it makes me look pretty. But if I wear lenses until night time when our activities end, my eyes end up feeling dry and stiff so later on I start feeling pain, too."

The show's resident eye specialist, Kim Tae Jin, said, "Due to Jaekyung's frequent use of circle and soft lenses for long periods of time, she's developed serious symptoms of dry eyes. From now on, she needs to minimize her use of [circle lenses] and instead use soft lenses that have high level of oxygen permeation."
