G-Dragon is the new brand ambassador for LG Uplus, which is one of top three mobile telecommunications providers in Korea. The idol has been selected for LG Uplus's modern and fastest network so far, the 80MHz LTE8.

A LG Uplus representative stated, "To effectively bring awareness of LG Uplus's maximum frequency bandwidth to customers, G-Dragon has been selected as the new endorsement model."

With G-Dragon being the brand's new model, fans and people who follow him are anticipated to follow the product. Besides, number 8 has been known to be G-Dragon's lucky and favourite number as he commonly cited in various interviews.

In this LTE 8 launch, LG Uplus prepared a special event for fans. Eight lucky fans would be able to win some G-Dragon merchandise such as jacket, bracelet, necklace and many more through LG Uplus official homepage starting from February 3 to February 28.
