To most mere mortals, going to the airport involves the most casual of outfits. Nothing particularly amazing, just comfortable pieces that will last long hours at the airport and inside the plane.
But K-pop celebrities beg to differ. Every moment--even the most mundane--is always a fashion show.
Here's the breakdown of recent airport fashion reports that are worthy of note.
The Put-Together: Girls Generation
Gone are the days of mismatched clothing and running shoes. The 9 femmes of Girls' Generation have all grown up before our eyes, and their fashion choices are getting more polished.
Earlier this September the girls were photographed returning from Japan on three occasions. They were all sporting more casual-trendy outfits.
All of them showcased unique fashion aesthetics, but I think it was Sooyoung's match-matchy get up that got my attention. The pullover and oxford ensemble looked well together. And although the folded-up skirt and sneaker pairing would make anyone else look awkward in it, Sooyoung managed to pull it off.
The Eccentric: Kim Heechul
Who wouldn't have heads turning in this striking colour scheme? Kim Heechul outdoes himself again in this ensemble of grey floral skull shirt and yellow graphic pants. And as if the bold bottoms weren't enough, Heechul sported a pair of red suede espadrilles that literally make him pop out at the airport.
The photo was taken during Heechul's trip back to Korea after his vacation in Singapore.
The Simply Comfortable: Rain
We get it: Rain looks good in whatever he puts on.
While on his way to the "Sonic Bang Festival" in Thailand, Rain was spotted donning a casual-chic attire which may not always work for most people. Even with those sandals that might remind you of what Moses and other ancience Egyptian wore back in the day, Rain still seems so impeccably cool and smooth.
The Edgy: 2NE1
This category, in whatever situation they may be, will always befit the girls of 2NE1. During a trip in August, 2NE1 came out in different styles of clothing.
Dara and Minji, however, both showed the same approval for platform Converse shoes.
I particularly liked CL's graphic match-up in this set, while I think Bom was playing a bit safe, clothing-wise.
So, which one of the stars' airport fashion did you like best?
