With the recent trend of expansions and business partnerships with different institutions, LOEN Entertainment follows the trail of being a multi-labelled business.
On September 24, LOEN Entertainment announced that they will be reorganizing their united production business, which they will be continuously managing current artists into separate labels, and through continued investment, they aim to expand their production business.
They stated that there will be two labels: LOEN Tree Label, which will be under the direction of producer Cho Young Chul and IU, Sunny Hill, History, Kim Suk Hoon, and Jo Han Sun will be in it. And Collaboddari Label, will be under the direction of none other than renowned Shinsadong Tiger. It will include a line-up of Zia and FIESTAR.
LOEN Entertainment was previously called Seoul Records.
LOEN was also put in charge of operating SK Telecom's online music distribution service, MelOn, in 2009. MelOn is currently the most used online music sales site in South Korea
LOEN's multi-label business is following the footsteps of Korea's Big Three entertainment agencies such as SM Entertainment, which has SM C&C, JYP Entertainment, which has recently announced its expansion to One JYP, and YG Entertainment which has YGEX, which is a partnership between music label, AVEX in Japan.
LOEN Entertainment stands for Live On Entertainment Networks or Love + Entertainment.
