SISTAR member Bora has been confirmed as a cast in the upcoming SBS drama series "Doctor Stranger".
Bora will play tomboyish Lee Chung, a defector from North Korea. Lee Chung has long had a crush on Park Hoon (played by Lee Jong Suk), so she escapes North Korea just to be with him.
With this, Bora becomes the second member of SISTAR to step into acting, following Dasom. Although Bora has confidently and effortless showed her bright and bubbly personality through various variety show guest appearances, Starship Entertainment revealed that Bora is nervous for her first acting gig. However, the agency assured that Bora is already mentally prepared to take on her role and give it her best. Bora's appearance will like draw attention, and the singer hopes to gain support from fans and viewers.
"Doctor Stanger" tells the story of a genius chest surgon, Park Hoon, who defects from North Korea and serves at a top South Korean hospital. The drama will premiere in May 2014, following "God's Gift - 14 Days".
