Last week, an entertainment insider revealed that AOA member Seolhyun was one of the many hopefuls who audition for the role of Lee Min Ho's figurative sister in "Gangnam Blues".
Today, it has been confirmed that the singer-actor has been officially cast for the role.
Seolhyun beat out a competition rate of 500:1, in which the other applicants were also young idols and actors as well. Seolhyun will be taking on the role of Sun Hye, the figurative younger sister of Jong Dae, which will be played by top actor Lee Min Ho.
To Jong Dae, Sun Hye, who is an orphan, is like family, and he will do whatever it takes to protect her.
"Gangnam Blues" is a noir movie set in 1970's Gangnam, at the time when the district was still beginning to boom and development was rampant. The story revolves around the conflict between the government and a group of people who want to gain control and influence over the area.
The movie is set to hit theatres later this year.
