TV network KBS once again expressed its strictness when it comes to screening new material for broadcast. Mad Clown's and Eddy Kim's tracks are the new releases that have been deemed inappropriate for broadcast by KBS.
KBS had a new round of reviews on April 9 and it was revealed that Mad Clown's "Gum", "The Smell of Your Skin", "Ggang-Gab", and "Stalker", as well as Eddy Kim's "Slow Dance" has been found to have content that makes them unfit for broadcast.
According to KBS, "Gum" used automobile brand name "Mercedes" in its lyrics. "Ggang-Gab", however, had coarse lyrics, while "Stalker" contained curses and swearing. Mad Clown's latest title track "Without You", which features SISTAR's Hyorin, passed the reviews with great remarks. The decision on "The Smell of Your Skin" is currently deferred.
As for Eddy Kim's "Slow Dance", it was banned due to its mention of "Grey Goose", a known vodka brand. Meanwhile, "It's Over", "Sober Up" and "The Manual" passed the reviews.
KBS has shown its strict regulations when reviewing songs and music videos. Some of its decisions even surprised fans, especially with its verdict on Orange Caramel's "Catallena" and Crayon Pop's "UH-EE". Both were deemed unfit for broadcast until necessary modifications were met.
