Agencies SM, YG, and JYP's 2013 Revenues Revealed!

The 'Big Three' agencies release their revenues for 2013 There have been business reports sent to the Financial Supervisory Service from the music imdustry's big three entertainment companies, SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment, being SM Entertainment on top with the most revenue last year.

There have been business reports sent to the Financial Supervisory Service from the music imdustry's big three entertainment companies, SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment, being SM Entertainment on top with the most revenue last year.

In 2013, SM Entertainment made 270 billion won (US$260 million), making it is almost twice the revenue compared to two years prior in 2011, which 140 billion won (US$140 million). Furthermore, YG made 120 billion won (US$110 million), making it a 49% increase from 2011 when they posted revenue of 78 billion won (US$76 million).

While, JYP Entertainment came in last with 21 billion won (US$21 million). An entertainment representative stated, "These companies are establishing affiliates and more, all of which are great factors to their business, so it looks like the profit scale will continue to grow in the future."

The three entertainment agencies are influential to the point that some commented that whole broadcasting production process would be difficult if there are no celebrities signed with one of three companies.
