Female soloist IU recently wrapped her mini concert series in 8 different theatres across Korea. IU's mini-theatre showcased kicked off on May 22 this year. The shows became dearer to IU as the small venue allowed IU to closely interact with fans in more intimate and personal way.
At the concerts, IU showcased 7 songs from her remake album, which a first for the singer. In addition to that, she also performed some of her best hits in the past. What's more, IU even doubled as a performer and radio DJ when she talked about stories that members of the audience had submitted.
Unlike most large-scale shows, IU was able to talk with fans who attended the concert. She even made the day extra special for them by personally handing out gifts to them. Among her the more famous audience members were SHINee's Jonghyun, ZE:A's Kwanghee, Kim Bum Soo, 2AM's Seulong, Jo Jung Suk, Akdong Musician, Ha Dong Kyun, and CNBLUE's Yonghwa.
Among the very special guests that came to support IU, the most notable attended was Kim Soo Hyun. During IU's show on May 29, Kim Soo Hyun appeared at the event to show support to the singer and his friend. IU and Kim Soo Hyun first met on the set of their hit idol-themed drama series, "Dream High". Despite Kim Soo Hyun's busy schedule, he took the time off just to support his friend. When IU saw, she immediately acknowledged his presence and got the fans excited at Kim Soo Hyun's attendance. It was also reported that Kim Soo Hyun headed back to China shortly after watching IU's full concert.
On her last day, IU said, "I can't believe this is the last concert. I was so nervous on the first day. Through these concerts, I felt that I was receiving a lot of love from a lot of people. I was very happy during the performances, and I was able to get one of my top experiences in life."
