Great news, Hong Ki fans! The singer has announced that he will be launching his own brand called “Skull Hong”.

On June 3, F.T. Island front man Lee Hong Ki updated his personal Instagram and Twitter accounts. The singer said, “#skullhong Really not much time left. It will be launching.” Along with the message is a photo revealing him in action as a “creative director”. It was revealed that “Skull Hong” is named at Lee Hong Ki himself, as it is known that Hong Ki has a fascination for skulls. It is also the same nickname and username he uses for his SNS accounts.

Last year, Lee Hong Ki wrote a book about nail art which he titled, “Lee Hong Ki Nail Book”. Through this book, Hong Ki was awarded as a bestselling author. With the launch of his own clothing brand, the singer is expected to establish himself as a representative fashion icon in the entertainment industry.

Aside from his obvious unique fashion statement, Hong Ki is known for personally creating his own accessories and stage props, and some have recognized his great skill in designing. As the creative director of the upcoming brand “Skull Hong”, Lee Hong Ki actively participated in every stage of the process of creating the clothes—from designing to production phases. He even played a hand at selecting materials and colors. Hong Ki made sure to take charge of the design and be able to express his own individual style.

In the meantime, F.T. Island has released their fourth Japanese mini album titled “New Page”. The album will contain 13 tracks, including the carrier song “Be Free”. In addition to this, the group will be having their Arena Live Concert Tour titled “The Passion” starting in Japan this June 3.
