Earlier today, jaws dropped after reports of Kris allegedly dating 40-year-old Chinese director Xu Jinglei surfaced the press. According to a report by Sports World, who obtain the information from an influential entertainment insider in China, claimed that the two are romantically involved with each other. Despite the shocking sixteen-year age difference, the report claimed that "Xu Jinglei was already interested in Kris even when he was still with EXO," and that she even helped him make his exit from SM Entertainment.

However, amidst all the confusion Kris' and Xu Junglei's respective camps have denied the rumors linking both artists romantically. Director Xu Jinglei even took to Weibo to comment on the controversy, even asking if this must've been some joke her foreign friends created.

In related news, Kris snagged a role in Xu Jinglei's upcoming movie, "Somewhere Only We Know". The news of Kris' involvement surprised many, especially after promotional stills for the movie were revealed. It was also revealed that Kris flew to Czech Republic to film the Chinese movie.
