Super Junior's Kim Heechul shocked many viewers when he announced his decision to step down as one of the main panel members on JTBC's variety show, "Ssul Jeon". The singer stated that it has become too difficult for him to talk about his friends in such a public platform.
After he filmed his final show on "Ssul Jeon" on July 14, Heechul took to Instagram and wrote, "It was really difficult talking about people I know on TV. If I do the broadcast, I hurt the people around me, but if I protect those people, I harm the broadcast. I was unable to become cool-headed. In the end, after thinking about it a lot, I felt this mental burden, 'Since I can't do it right, I should just leave,' and told the 'Ssul Jeon' team, who understand my concerns very well and said they would miss me.
To the audience members who were hurt by my words, I doubt I can wash away everything that happened through saying sorry, but I will keep everything that happened forever in my heart, so that I will watch what I say and be more careful on TV."
During the entire duration of Heechul's participation on the show, he was able to contribute interesting insights on various topics, and even boldly spoke about never-before-revealed information concerning his celebrity friends and even the mechanisms revolving in SM Entertainment.
