Last year, the rap scene heated up when Swings and Simon D had an intense rap diss battle that lead to a huge controversy and tension between the rappers. On the July 16 instalment of MBC's "Radio Star", Swings guest starred and talked about how he reconciled with Simon D after the rap battle.
He said, "I heard that Simon D came out on 'Radio Star' and said that he originally had no intention to take part in the diss battle until I provoked him. Honestly, that put me in a bad mood.
After hearing that, I called him up first to personally tell him that it made me feel bad. Simon D is a bit sly, right? He told me, 'We could make a great picture,' so I met up with him and talked to him, and we had a good discussion," since Simon D asked him to swing by his house.
He continued, "You guys do a lot of video messages, right? Can I just send him a video message?" then he faced towards the camera and said, "Simon D. A lot happened between us . . . Things became awkward between us, but I miss you. Do well."
Kim Gura commented, "If America had video messages (like on 'Radio Star') then the Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. feud may not have happened."
