As previously reported, SBS reality show "Roommate" has been picked up for a second season packed with a lot of surprises and a new a show format to boot.
Actress Hong Soo Hyun is the next celebrity roommate reported to exit the show as season 1 nears its finale. Several roommates already left the show before Hong Soo Hyun, including 2NE1's Park Bom, Lee So Ra, Song Ga Yeon, and Shin Sung Woo. According to reports, Hong Soo Hyun made the move so that she can concentrate on her acting career.
An industry insider spilled one exciting detail regarding season 2 and the reportedly new group of roommates that will enter the share house. According to the report, Girls' Generation's Sunny is one of the prospective new cast member. The insider said that Sunny will most likely begin filming for the show this week. Sunny will be a great addition to the program because of her amazingly bright and cheery character, matched with her innocent and driven attitude. "She's a very honest person, so you'll be seeing a more daring side to Sunny," the insider shared.
Other than Sunny, a staff from "Roommate" also dished out on the new personalities that will be joining the show. In a separate interview, the staff said that the show is looking at adding 6 new members. However, nothing is final yet. The 6 prospects, including Sunny, are still discussing their casting.
In a later update, it said that Sunny is officially confirmed for the show, together with g.o.d's Park Joon Hyun, who is well-loved for his outspoken and yet fun character. GOT7's Jackson has also been reportedly cast into the show.
The rest of the gang will probably begin filming on September 13, as the second season of "Roommate" is expected to come out on September 21.
