Today, fans were shocked at another lawsuit scandal between an EXO member and SM Entertainment. It was reported that EXO's Luhan had filed a case with the Seoul Central Court to nullify his contract with the agency.

SM Entertainment wasted no time to respond to the rumors which have inflicted serious damage on the agency's stocks and image.

According to their official statement, SM Entertainment said they were shocked to find out that Luhan already went ahead with filing the case when they were still in the process of discussing his future schedules and activities. The negotiations stemmed from Luhan's expressed desire to concentrate more on undertaking solo activities in China instead of prioritizing his group activities with EXO. The matter of his health, which has been the reason behind his absence from EXO and SMTOWN concerts, was also a concern.

"We understand, similarly with Kris' case, that by filing a lawsuit for no important reason and using the same strategies and lawyers, this shows an action by someone who has gained popularity as a member of a group to prioritize himself. This action shows how a person is willing to put himself first and ignoring all other technicalities such as the contract as well as the scheduled activities with the group. We believe that there is someone else who is manipulating the course of events," an SM Entertainment representative said.

As to how they plan to respond to the situation, SM Entertainment revealed that they plan to seek the help of their partners in China, together with their legal counsels.

With the succeeding lawsuits coming from EXO members, particular Chinese members, it's no doubt that SM Entertainment speculates a third party pulling the strings behind all these. It's also very questionable that Luhan followed Kris' suit and sought the help of the same lawyers.

In the meantime, SM Entertainment promises that EXO will continue with their scheduled activities.
