Actor, Jung Il Woo has been confirmed as the leading man for the upcoming MBC weekend drama, "Golden Rainbow" together with After School's UEE, who has been a pioneer for weekend dramas.
On October 14, May Queen Pictures, the drama's production company, stated, "The male lead for 'Golden Rainbow' that we've been discussing for a while has been confirmed to be Jung Il Woo."
"Golden Rainbow" is revolves around the lives of seven siblings. In the drama, Jung Il Woo will play Do Young, whose father gets married for the second time during Do Young's childhood. Do Young receives outsider treatment in his new step-family but continues to develop and mature into an adult, becoming a prosecutor later on.
Production staff sources stated, "Do Young plays a big part of the drama and story-line. With his popularity and acting skills, we are excited to see Jung Il Woo go to work."
Meanwhile, his co-star, UEE will be playing the older version of the role child actress Kim Yoo Jung is already confirmed to play. The role of "Baek Won" is an orphan who has a younger sibling. She doesn't remember her parents and will do her best even in the face of hardships.
"Golden Rainbow" will come out on November 2 making its way after the drama, "Scandal."
