Luhan and SM Entertainment Enters Amicable Settlement this Month

Luhan has been referred for settlement against SM Entertainment Luhan, who has filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment last October, will be going to amicable settlement with the agency this month.

Luhan, who has filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment last October, will be going to amicable settlement with the agency this month.

The Seoul Disctrict Court has scheduled Luhan's for court-referred settlement on December 4 due to lack of validity. Luhan and SM Entertainment will be trying to agree on a resolution and settle everything.

It was last October when Luhan stated in his lawsuit that SM Entertainment had been discriminating the Chinese members and have been giving more opportunities to its Korean members. It was also known that Luhan was unable to attend events for EXO prior to the lawsuit due to his health. Speculations stated that the reason of his filed lawsuit was because he was unable to go home to China to rest while suffering from health problems.

Luhan's lawsuit stated, "SM treated EXO-K, filled with Korean members, differently from how they treated the EXO-M members with Chinese members. From the beginning of our debut, EXO-K received support from SM and actively did promotions, but EXO-M had no promotions, received no financial backing, and endured a difficult time."

Meanwhile, SM Enteratinment released their side, "Just as in the case with Kris (Wu Yifan), Luhan filed for a lawsuit with the same law firm in the same way without reason makes us think that after gaining popularity with the group, he is now prioritizing his own personal benefit with disregard for those affected by the termination of his contract."

Meanwhile, EXO's other former member, Kris will be having his second round of amicable settlement on December 5.
