Kim Hyun Joong's Camp Requesting Medical Records To Prove Ms. Choi's Miscarriage Allegations

The actor's camp has requested the court to provide a request of corroboration to verify Choi's miscarriages stories with the 5 gynecology clinics Choi previously said to have visited.

Kim Hyun Joong's legal representatives gave an update on the charges filed by the actor's ex, Ms. Choi, regarding her previous miscarriage due to physical violence.

The actor's camp has requested the court to provide a request of corroboration to verify Choi's miscarriages stories with the 5 gynecology clinics Choi was said to have previously visited. Ms. Choi alleged that she suffered from a miscarriage in June last year as a result of physical assaults from Kim Hyun Joong. The actor's representatives responded to the claims, saying that Choi's story has no solid proof and that medical records should be presented to prove that such pregnancy and miscarriage did occur last year.

Kim Hyun Joong's lawyer said, "Choi is saying that she had a miscarriage last year because Kim Hyun Joong physically assaulted her. She could easily present medical records to prove her story, but up to now she still hasn't provided any. She said she will present the records directly in court, but if she fails to do so we have already requested permission to retrieve records from the 5 clinics from where she had check-ups."

Instead of going to trial, Kim Hyun Jong's side is looking at the possibility of going into settlement with Ms. Choi. "If she returns the 600 million won she received from us for damages and tells the true story in order to clean Kim Hyun Joong's reputation, then we could definitely be looking at a settlement. But right now a settlement is not likely to happen."

Kim Hyun Joong is currently enlisted in the army, while Ms. Choi is carrying Kim Hyun Joong's child.
