Yewon Gives Formal Apology to Lee Tae Im and Fans For "Tutoring Across Generations" Controversy

Two months later, Yewon finally sent her formal apology to Lee Tae Im for speaking informally to the senior actress on the set of "Tutoring Across Generations".

Things haven't been going so well for singer Yewon who has received backlash for her rude and ill-mannered behavior towards senior actress Lee Tae Im.

In recall, Lee Tae Im and Yewon were embroiled in a controversy following a major spat during the filming of MBC's "Tutoring Across Generations". Initially, the blame was pointed at actress Lee Tae Im who got angry yelled at Yewon for speaking informally to her senior. Yewon denied the accusations at first until a footage of the filming was leaked and showed that Yewon did in fact speak informally to Lee Tae Im. Netizens have been bashing Yewon ever since, telling her to apologize to Lee Tae Im and everyone else for lying.

Two months later, Yewon finally sent her formal apology to Lee Tae Im. The singer uploaded a photo on Twitter of a handwritten letter that was addressed to actress Lee Tae Im. In the letter, Yewon also thanked his "We Got Married" husband Henry.

Yewon said:

"I feel like it took me forever to write this, and I don't know how to begin to express my sincerest regret. It was a first for me to get involved in a controversy so largely talked-about. Since I had to consider a lot of people, I couldn't say anything easily. Even as I write this now, I'm still very careful with my words.

I know that it might be late for this, but I've gathered up the courage to pen this. To be frank, every time I filmed 'We Got Married' I was so afraid of facing people and I thought about giving up several times. But I thought that it would be irresponsible of me to give things up just because I was going through a rough time. I also thought that doing my best on the show is the only way I could repay the producers and staff of 'We Got Married and Henry.

I apologize to everyone who is suffering because of me. I'm sorry to Henry, who's always been so supportive of me. I want to express my apologies to the viewers [of 'WGM'] who didn't like seeing me on the show. I'm also sorry to everyone who supported me, but got disappointed at me.

Finally, I would like to apologize to Lee Tae Im sunbae, who went through a hard time because of my immature behavior on the set of 'Tutoring Across Generations'. I am sorry that I got in the way of you reaching your goals, which you've held on to much longer than I have held mine."
