f(x) member Victoria was previously confirmed to take part in a drama series that was supposedly scheduled to begin filming these days. However, news has surfaced that the production for the drama has been halted even before they could proceed with the first day of filming.

Chinese media outlet Sina.com reported on November 8 that the production team from the Chinese fantasy drama "Chinese Paladin 5" has been dissolved with no specific reason mentioned.

The drama's director, Lee Guo Li, was the first to break the news via his Weibo account. According to the director the drama has been discontinued. He blames the production team's dissolution on "unsuitable choice of subject material".

He said, "As a result, it seems like all the effort the cast and crew have put in over the last few months has come to nothing. For that, I would like to extend my deepest apologies." The post was deleted moments after.

Victoria was supposed to star opposite Jiang Jing Fu in the drama after "When Love Walked In". She recently headed to Hengdian, China to meet with the rest of the show's cast. "Chinese Paladin 5" would have been Victoria's second participation in a Chinese drama.

"Chinese Paladin 5" is based on a China-based online game of the same name.

Fans have since then expressed their disappointment over the issue on various online communities.

Shanghai Tangren, the company that would produce the drama kept mum regarding the issue and didn't make any comment on Director Lee's weibo post.

"Chinese Paladin 5" would have premiered on November 7.
