Taeyang Says He's Confident of His Acting Chops, "I Won't Be That Bad"

Taeyang recently had a casual interview with the media at a café in Seoul on November 11. During the interview, Taeyang opened up about his thoughts on variety programs the prospects of him venturing into acting.

As part of his promotional activities for Ringa Linga, fans are wondering if they'll be seeing more of him in variety shows this season. When asked about it, Taeyang said, "I do not have any solid plans yet. But I do think, [if ever], I would do it for my album."

"I'm not the kind that watches a lot of TV, but I occasionally enjoy watching 'Dad, Where Are you Going?' But I can't appear in that because I'm not a dad," the singer jokingly said.

His Big Bang co-member T.O.P is currently storming the box office hits with his new movie "The Commitment" (The Alumni).  Taeyang commented, "I watched 'The Commitment' in which T.O.P is the main lead and he acted really well... I saw him as the character in the movie. I did not feel like he was my fellow group member during that time."

With the current trend of idols expanding into the acting business, Taeyang was asked if he would be willing to do acting as well. He responded, "If I was ordered to do so, I think I wouldn't be joke."

He explained, "Before, I really wasn't interested [in acting], and even up to now, I still don't have that much interest. But these days, every time I watch a movie at home, I realize that movies make me feel the similar emotions music does. I don't think it'd be bad if I acted a role that I could easily express and matches me well."
