This week, K-pop fans and music enthusiasts witness the big battle royal between two magnanimous idol groups. Big Bang and EXO are going head to head in the charts with the release of their new singles and albums, and it looks like the competition is stiff.

EXO recently dropped their newest song "Love Me Right" together with the official release of its music video. As expected, EXO's song took over the number 1 spot in all local music charts in Korea, achieving another all-kill sweep and eclipsing Big Bang's reign in the charts.

As of June 3 at 8am KST, "Love Me Right" is already the top song on Genie, Daum Music, Bugs, MelOn, Mnet, Monkey 3, Naver Music, and Olleh Music. This position was previously held by Big Bang's "Bang Bang Bang" which has now sunk to second or third place in the charts.

Other songs included in "Love Me Right" also entered the top 10 rankings, particularly "Tender Love", "Promise (EXO 2014)", and "First Love".

In addition to this, "EXODUS" and "Love Me Right" has exceeded a total of a million copies sold. "EXODUS" has already sold 753,860 albums so far and 371,160 copies for the repackaged edition of "Love Me Right".

This is the second time EXO reached over a million in sales count for their albums. They've done this same feat with their first full-length album and the repackaged release that followed. This made EXO the first artist to have sold over 1 million physical copies in over a decade.

Congratulations, EXO!
