The duo, Trouble Maker, who has been receiving so much praise because of their new song, "Now" is under fire because of the shirts they wore that, seems like the Japanese Rising Sun Flag.
The said shirts were seen in a photo which was from SBS MTV's "The Show's" Twitter account. Though in a quick look, the photo does not harm anything, however, the sharp eyes of the netizen, who spotted the red and white rays in the illustration of the two are matching hoodies.
The Japanese Rising Sun Flag represents Japanese imperialism and was used during when Japan conquered its next-door Asian countries such as China and Korea. Making it look negative as the countries mentioned suffered losses under that flag.
The said show deleted the photo on its account, however it had already circulated among netizens and media sources.
Representatives of Trouble Maker explained to news outlet, Osen that, "The image on Trouble Maker's outfits is not of the Rising Sun but a flower bud. But seeing that as a misunderstanding has risen, we apologize for not having paid closer attention to the details of their outfits."
