Kim Nam Gil Talks About His "Natural" Chemistry With Son Ye Jin

Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin made viewers swoon with their sweet chemistry in "Shark". Now their both back with the same chemistry in "Pirates" and Kim Nam Gil has the lowdown on what makes the relationship work.

Kim Nam Gil recently opened up about her relationship with co-star Son Ye Jin. And, no. The two aren’t dating, but Kim Nam Gil says that he and Son Ye Jin have a natural and comfortable friendship that people easily suspect them to be dating.
On December 12, Kim Nam Gil was interviewed by a reporter while he was on set his upcoming movie “Pirates”. The reporter asked, “Your chemistry with Son Ye Jin is so amazing that dating rumours between you flared up. What is Son Ye Jin really like on set?”

Kim Nam Gil revealed, “I worked with her for the drama ‘Shark’ and even though her character in the drama is different in [‘Pirates’], both roles match well with mine.”
“I think both of our characters fit us well. We both got into characters that bring out our own unique traits to life. In [‘Pirates’] there is a scene where I tease Son Ye Jin and she nags at me. We joke a lot in real life so the scene was really familiar. It was as if we were in our own comfort zone and our chemistry is great. Personally, I’m happy we’re able to work together.”
Fans can expect Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin’s amazing on-screen chemistry in “Pirates”, which is expected to hit theatres next summer.
