T-ARA Raises 12.5 Million Won For Charity

T-ARA spent Christmas Eve meaningful in an auction that garnered 12.5 million won for a charity cause.

Girl group T-ARA celebrated the spirit of Christmas by helping out charity.
T-ARA hosted a charity bazaar on Christmas eve wherein the members’ stage costumes and other personal items were put up for auction. Label mates Hwang Jung Eum, Ha Suk Jin, and Son Ho Joon also took part in the activity and donated some of their personal belongings. In total, the number auctioned items reached over 500.

One of the auction’s biggest vids went to a CAMEROON diamond which was sold for 3 million won to a Japanese fan. By the end of the program, T-ARA had already raised a total of 12.5 million, in which fans’ contribution amounted to 2.5 million won. The 2.5 was donated to the Korea Red Cross’ “Windmill of Hope” campaign. The other 10 million will be given to a charity organization called Good Neighbours on December 27.
T-ARA member said, “Many people participated in the cause and lent a helping hand at the charity bazaar to spread the love. With this, we want to express our deepest thanks and gratitude. We will continue to do our best to hold meaningful events such as this.”
Since T-ARA’s debut, the group has actively participated in volunteerism and hosting charity event such as paying a visit to centres for the aged, nurseries, orphanages, and more.
