According to JYP Entertainment in an interview for Star News, Sunmi will be ending her debut solo single promotions on September 22 through SBS' Inkigayo.
Sunmi was formerly a member of the girl group, The Wonder Girls but left the group because she wanted to pursue her academic career. She remained to be in JYP Entertainment even though, she was not in the group anymore, therefore last January 13, a representative for the label announced that Sunmi was going to be soloist who is sharpening her talents and not coming back as part of the Wonder Girls.
She came back on August 22 through M Countdown. This was her first performance in three years and seven months ever since her departure from the girl group, Wonder Girls.
The song, "24 Hours," was the title track and is about a woman's feelings as she unlocks her eyes to a sensual love through a man she loves. Park Jin Young, founder of JYP Entertainment, wrote and composed the song, created the choreography and contributed in the music video filming. Through the song and music video, Sunmi shows her maturity, growing into her female sexuality.
"24 Hours" was in the top spot in all music charts such as, Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music, and Daum Music since its release.
