Male idol group EXO has proven themselves to be one of 2013's brightest stars. To kick start they year, the group has been recognized by Billboard as one of the "14 Artist to Watch in 2014".
In an article published on January 13, Billboard said, "EXO looks position to be K-pop's next crossover phenom with an American fanbase brewing for the 12-member boy band. The video for Southern hip-hop-inspired 'Growl' was 2013's third most viewed K-pop music video in the U.S., after the internationally-recognized PSY and Girls' Generation."
EXO is the sole Korean and Asian act on the list. Other artist mentioned weres Holychild, Jillian Banks, Sohn, SZA, Sampha, Hot Since 82, Rich Homie Quan, Ella Eyre, Sam Smith, HAERTS, Lo-Fang, FKA twigs, and John Newman.
Furthermore, EXO bagged the Daesang Award at the recently held Golden Disk Awards.
