A Teenager Got Arrested for Using EXO to Swindle $6,500 by Selling Tickets Online

Beware of tickets being sold online for a cheap price.

It was reported that a 19-year-old male has been arrested in the city of Bucheon in Gyeonggi Province with charges of scamming fellow citizens by falsely selling EXO concert tickets. According to him, he has scammed at least 48 people, getting away with 6,940,000 Won (approx. $6,500 USD). And because most of the victims were high school girls, the police suspected that there were a lot more unreported.

The suspect worked as a part time ticket seller in the past, and made used of his work experience to carry out the scam. He was said to post EXO tickets online and made sure to pay a fine to the buyer if anything a problem occurred. Then he used this modus to get their bank account information.
