SHINee's Jonghyun Makes His Debut As DJ on MBC FM4U's "Blue Night"

Jonghyun's wish of becoming a radio DJ has finally come true with his new hosting job on "Blue Night".

SHINee member Jonghyun makes his radio DJ debut as the new host for MBC Radio FM4U's "Blue Night". The singer had his first time on the job during its broadcast on February 3, succeeding the position of previous DJ, Jung Yeop.

On his new job, Jonghyun said, "I've always loved listening to the radio even when I was little. I actually wanted to become a DJ shortly after I made my debut. This time, my wish is being realized, and I'm happy and excited about it. I want to maintain the same vibe of "Blue Night" since it's celebrating its ninth year on air. I hope to work hard together with the listeners. I hope everyone supports me."

The show's producer, Kim Chul Young, said, "We wanted to depart from the tradition "Blue Night" follows with having a ballad singer as its DJ. Jonghyun knows a lot of about various music genres including underground music, soul music, and others. He shows a strong passion towards music, and suits the program very well."

"Blue Night" aired its first episode on October 24, 2005. The show's past DJs include Sung Si Kyung, Alex, and Jung Yeop.
