Girl group Spica is currently gaining much attention for their latest retro-inspired title track "You Don't Love Me". As the song continues to see improvement on chart rankings, the girls are also vying for the number 1 spot on music shows for the first time since they made their official debut in 2012.
Music critics say "You Don' Love Me" is a potential candidate to become a top song on SBS' "Inkigayo" this week. Spica will be going head to head with girl groups Girl's Day (with "Something" and AOA (with "Miniskirt").
B2M Entertainment commented about the wonderful response the song is getting, saying, "The members of Spica were in tears upon knowing that they are in the running to receive the 'Inkigayo' trophy. All they effort they put on for two years has finally paid off."
The rep continued, "Even if they win or not, we would like to express our gratitude to fans for giving Spica the chance to be chosen for the number 1 spot."
"You Don't Love Me" was written and composed by label mate and senior, Lee Hyori. The retro track is infused with soul music reminiscent of the 1960's. It conveys a woman's feelings after experiencing heartbreak.
