Super Junior's Kim Heechul is slated to return to the variety show arena as a member of the fixed panel for JTBC's "Ssul Jeon".
This will be Heechul's first variety show gig after completing his 2-year civil duties in August.
Heechul was the first to give hints of his role on the said program through his Instagram account, sharing a photo on set with the caption, "First filming of my variety show."
More details on his new project were divulged later on news reports, and Heechul finally came out with an official statement saying he has completed filming for "Ssul Jeon".
He spoke kind words about his variety show co-stars and crew members, and even boasted that his "genius-like talk received applause from the entire staff."
The Super Junior member later on revealed that he chose to take part in "Ssul Jeon" because he likes variety shows that are tough. He thinks he fits the show well because he "can attack any idol, and will criticize them."
Surely Heechul's candid and witty persona will be a hit among viewers.
Because of his feisty revelations about his role in the show, one of his co-stars, Kim Gu Ra, challenged him to say anything bad about SM Entertainment on the program.
The first episode of "Ssul Jeon" that will star Heechul will air on September 26.
