Finally, after three rounds of FUSE TV's online poll for the Best New Artist, G-Dragon, bags the award winning over K.Michelle and Danielle Bradbery with total votes of 76%.
FUSE TV had started the first round of poll in end August with fans voting from all around the world. The people had to choose from 72 performers from 12 music genres like electronic/dance music, independent rock, pop music, teen pop, international pop, hip-hop, underground hip hop, rap, soul, country music, pink, and heavy metal. The winners from all 12 music genres were then put together in the second round of the poll, wherein the 3 on top were G-Dragon, K. Michelle and Danielle Bradbery going into the 3rd and final round. In the final round which was held on September 24th, G-Dragon soared high than K. Michelle and Danielle Bradbery to become the eventual winner.
Meanwhile, aside from getting the Best New Artist of 2013, G-Dragon's new song "Coup D'Etat" was also named as one of the top 10 songs of the month by British fashion magazine "DAZED". The newspaper "The New York Times," also praised G-Dragon by saying that the whole world will learn from him.
Recently, three of G-Dragon's songs in his new album have made its way to climb into the top 10 of music charts for four consecutive weeks. In addition, "Black", "COUP D'ETAT", and "Who You?" have also gotten number 1 on music shows.
