SBS’ new variety program, “Roommate,” was postponed to May. The show was supposed to begin airing on April 20; but, it was cancelled due to the Sewol Ferry accident.
Recently, SBS said that the show will be postponed to April 27. But, the broadcast has been also cancelled, and is expected to air its first episode on May 4.
“Roommate” is a reality show that will record the life of celebrities who will live together in one house. The roommates are actor Lee Dong Wook, singer and actor Shin Sung Woo, model and host Lee So Ra, actress Hong Soo Hyun, 2NE1’s Park Bom, After School’s Nana, comedian Jo Se Ho, actor Seo Kang Joon, actor Park Min Woo, ultimate fighter Song Ga Yeon, and EXO’s Chanyeol. It was also reported the 11 cast members has filmed for the first episode of the show last month for 4 nights and 5 days.
Moreover, because of the Sewol Ferry tragedy that swept the nation on April 16, television networks postponed their variety programs and have replaced them with news reports and other shows dealing with current affairs.
