Singer and After School's leader Kahi got to have a total recall on how she began her career in the music industry as a backup dancer for singer BoA on the final episode of Mnet’s “Beatles Code 3D.”
On the May 6 broadcast, the program’s hosts showed two photographs of Kahi, which was taken from the TV debut of BoA’s “Valenti,” a single released in 2002. Kahi seemed shocked to have seen the pictures and showed the funny side eventually, but at seemed quite embarrassed by the pictures. “They look so ugly!” she stated, and then later joked that she looked a little “like Eddy Kim” in the photos.
Kahi got her big break when she was seen dancing as a back-up dancer by BoA’s manager at the time. After 12 years, that same manager is as of the moment in charge of Kahi’s solo career.
When Kahi was asked about how she felt after meeting BoA knowing she too became a singer. To this, she responded, “BoA told me she was so happy I was doing well. Her kind words brought tears to my eyes.”
