Female duo Davichi has officially confirmed their comeback after a year in hiatus. The duo revealed that their comeback track will be "Meeting After Breaking Up", which will be taken from their upcoming mini album "Page One.
"Meeting After Breaking Up" is produced by hit maker Brave Brothers, and this marks the first time Davichi and Brave Brothers worked together as producer and artist. The song will be much different from Davichi typical musical style, as they will taking on Brave Brothers' edgier musical direction this time. The song will emphasize Lee Haeri and Kang Minkyung's emotional vocal abilities. While the song will surely catch everyone's attention, the lyrics will be most relatable to those who've been in a long-term relationship.
Davichi's former agency, Core Contents Media, was the first to reveal the good news about Davichi's comeback to Star News in an interview on May 21, "Davichi will release a new mini album in mid-June and start their activities."
The news is a big surprise as it is coming from Core Contents Media. In February this year, the duo decided to leave the agency. MBN Star News reported, "Davichi has ended their contract with Core Contents Media. They have decided not to renew the contract." At the time, it was reported that various music agencies has shown interest in signing Davichi, but it seems that the girl duo has not decided on whether they would go to a new agency or re-sign with Core Contents Media.
When Davichi made the decision to exit from Core Contents Media following the expiry of their contract, the agency still showed support for the duo, saying that they are willing to produce an album for Davichi despite any contractual issues.
Meanwhile Davichi's "Meeting After Breaking Up" will be out on June 5! Stay tuned!
