The netizen behind the spread of malicious rumours about f(x) member Sulli has finally been caught.

On June 11, SM Entertainment told the press, "We caught the perpetrator behind the spreading of false accusations against Sulli in March. By the end of March, we sought legal action to protect our artist against these baseless rumours, thus we filed a suit for defamation against the person who started and is related to the spread of this rumour."

"The netizen, after realizing that fabricating and spreading malicious rumours is a crime, was very repentant. The person apologized to Sulli for her actions and made a promise to never do it again. Sulli, upon seeing that the perpetrator is just the same age as her, decided to drop charges. We respect Sulli's decisions and charges were dropped on June 10."

SM Entertainment firmly stated that this is an isolated case and dropping charges against spread of malicious rumours is an exception. The agency said they will continue on handling cases of the same nature with firm legal actions.

In March this year, f(x)'s Sulli was rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomachache. Although SM Entertainment had revealed that her condition was caused by excessive stress, rumours started flying out suggesting that Sulli's hospitalization is somewhat related to her dating controversy with Dynamic Duo's Choiza last year.

A screenshot of a KakaoTalk conversation circulated the internet which read, "My friend works at the hospital, and my friend said that Sulli was in the emergency room because of XXXX."

After the rumor made its rounds on the internet, SM Entertainment announced that they will be firm in taking legal action against those responsible for the creation and spread of the malicious controversy.

In the meantime, Sulli and the rest of f(x) is reported to make their comeback soon!
