It looks like that the growing overseas popularity of male group BTS is felt in Japan, as the group has ranked high on music charts with their latest track “No More Dream.”
On June 4, BTS released their first Japanese single “No More Dream” and made a debut at number six on the Daily Chart. The group has sold 32,356 copies of their single on its first week, and managed to rank eighth on the competitive Oricon Weekly Single Chart.
The single had received a lot of love domestically, and the song has been chosen for BTS’ first Japanese remake. It has also been known that Japanese rapper KM Markit joined in writing the Japanese lyrics for the song.
In line with the news, BTS has recently signed an exclusive contract with Japanese entertainment firm Pony Canyon and will be starting soon with their official activities.
