Following the belated report about Park Bom's case involving amphetamines, actor Lee Dong Wok, who appears with Park Bom on "Roommate", gave his two cents on the issue.
At the press conference for the MBC drama series "Hotel King" on July 4, Lee Dong Wook gave his thoughts on the recent controversy. The actor said, "My heart is uneasy about it, but I don't think that it's something I can say anything about. I think that it will work itself out." He went on, "To be honest, there has been a lot of talk involving the show 'Roommate' like the viewer ratings. I'm not sure how much I could help, but I hope I have a good influence."
According to reports, 4 years ago, Park Bom tried to ship drugs into Korea that have been banned in the country. The said drugs was shipped via international mail, along with several food items. The drugs were intercepted by customs and Park Bom was accused of smuggling the said drugs. The case was suspended by the prosecution as it was revealed that Park Bom had prescription for the drugs in the US. Although the news happened a long time ago, it still shocked a lot of people.
In relation to this, there remains a lot of questions regarding Park Bom's participation in "Roommate". A representative from SBS said that her future filming for the series has not been confirmed or ordered ceased.
