It was just days ago when DSP Media revealed that Nicole will not be renewing her contract and will be discontinuing all activities with KARA, however, the label announced that they will not be replacing Nicole.
In recall, Kim Sung Hee withdrew from the group back in 2008 then, Hara and Jiyoung joined the group afterwards, making speculations that there might be a new member to the team after the termination of Nicole's contract with DSP Media.
DSP Media said via Star News on October 6 that, "Nicole, who shows no intention of renewing her contract, will have her contract end as scheduled this coming January. Even if Nicole leaves Kara, there are no plans to recruit new member(s)."
The label added, "Given each member's already established image and popularity, we are hesitant to recruit a new member and reorganize the team. Although there are speculations of possibly recruiting a new member, if you look only at the current situation, the possibility of that happening is considerably low."
The agency also guaranteed that Nicole's departure will not affect KARA's Japanese tour, saying, "The final date for their Japanese arena tour will push through for Kobe on November 24. Until the tour ends, all five members will perform on stage together as scheduled."
