Like a korean drama, the story between Nicole and DSP Media does not finish, alas, just make netizens eager of what the ending between these two is.
KARA's Nicole posted a message to fans through Twitter yesterday, stating the "I started with KARA, and wanted to end with KARA," making an implication that she wants to remain in KARA however with a different agency, which is similar to Shinhwa.
And now DSP Media reacts to that tweet, saying to various news agencies that Nicole's action of posting the message and its matters were not conferred with them beforehand. A source from DSP Media told Enews24, "Nicole's message surprised both the agency and the rest of the members of KARA. She personally wrote the message and did not tell us."
The source added, "We've never discussed before what Nicole is insisting upon, with her signing on both as a member of KARA and individually. All we got from Nicole's camp was 'I won't be renewing my contract.' We don't know why she announced things that she never discussed with the agency. Regarding that point, it seems we will have to have future discussions."
In analysis, it looks like Nicole told DSP Media she was not renewing her contract, expecting the agency to propose talks for negotiations, but DSP Media, in thoughts of KARA's previous disbandment scare, decided to take the extreme action against Nicole and just release a statement to the public that Nicole was not renewing her contract. It is still a missing puzzle the real situation is between the two parties, but for now, maybe renegotiations might open.
