With 2NE1’s Park Bom no longer participating in the recent filming for SBS’ “Roommate”, the show’s CP and PD have revealed that this week’s episode will be the last one featuring Bom in the meantime.
Roommate’s CP Baek Jung Ryul told TV Report on July 24, "It seems the upcoming July 27th broadcast will be Park Bom's final [appearance on 'Roommate']. She hasn't been attending filming so there is no footage of her. Realistically speaking, it is as if she's left [the show]... We haven't made any plans for Park Bom's possible following appearances. Nothing has been discussed... We also edited out a lot of the footage of Park Bom due to the controversy."
PD Park Sang Hyuk, told MBN that fans shouldn’t lose hope as they are still not closing their doors to Bom’s return to the show, "It's true Bom hasn't been participating in the filming since the 11th. Due to this, she won't be in the broadcasts starting next week. She couldn't film because of schedules, so we can't ultimately label this as her leaving... We have footage that has been recorded before, so Bom will be appearing in a portion of this week's episode."
“Roommate” previously revealed that there won’t be any legal problems with Park Bom’s non-appearance on the show. The show respects that Park Bom is going through some issue and they also respect her decision to not participate on the show for now.
With her drug case surfacing four years after it was suspended, 2NE1’s Park Bom was bombarded with a lot of criticism and questions. While the controversy continues, fans are wondering if Park Bom will be making a temporary hiatus from the industry following her exit from “Roommate” or if she will be able to bounce back sooner than expected.
