IU ran into a bit of door knob-dysfunction as she prepared for her comeback stage on M! Countdown

A LOEN Entertainment revealed on Twitter that the "Red Shoes" singer got locked inside her own dressing while she was preparing for her grand comeback stage. The representative shared on the incident, "With the door locked, the doorknob fell off. Ah! It's not funny. IU is stuck inside." The tweet also came with a photo of a staff on the rescue, trying to fix the broken doorknob of the dressing room.

The situation may seem funny, but the staff was really pressured into getting the singer out, looking into the peephole in desperation. The fans, however, found the untimely situation funny.

Hopefully, it spells some good luck for IU's promotional season for "Modern Times".

It was long after when IU was freed from her room. Fans have commented, "I hear IU was successfully released," and added, "She must have been flustered."

IU is set to perform her title track "The Red Shoes" on tonight's M! Countdown, making it her official comeback debut.

However, despite this mishap, IU remains consistently successful in the charts, achieving an all-kill status for "The Red Shoes".
