Jonghyun: "M! Countdown Must Really Dislike Me"

Jonghyun tweeted about an embarrassing scenario in M! Countdown that emphasized the singer's biggest frustration in life.

SHINee’s Kim Jonghyun could not contain his disappointment at the production crew of Mnet’s “M! Countdown”. The singer took to his Twitter to post a series of hilarious tweets to express his frustration.

“There was a short talk segment during the live broadcast of ‘M! Countodwn’, but the MCs were Kim Woo Bin and Joon Young Hyung. Ha! ‘M! Countdown’ must really dislike me.”

Known for being the vertically-challenged, shortest member of SHINee, Jonghyun revealed Kim Woo Bin’ and Jung Joon Young’s heights who are obviously way taller than him. Kim Woo Bin stands at 187 cm while Jung Joon Young is 184 cm tall.

In a previous episode of a certain variety show, Jonghyun had already revealed that he was only 173 cm tall, obviously shorter than the two actors he was with for that segment in ‘M! Countdown’.

He jokingly vented out, “Please anticipate the screen shots. I will hate ‘M! Countdown’!”

The singer also tweeted, “I am thinking of asking for my chair to be raised and not ever standing up,” and continued, “I will say it’s my ‘proud’ concept.”

Jonghyun was obviously embarrassed by the glaring height disparity, and hopes that the chair might help him to an effect.

In behind-the-scenes photos from the show, Jonghyun was shown seated during the segment with Kim Woo Bin and Jung Joon Young standing on each of his sides. Kim Woo Bin jokingly asked why Jonghyun was the only one sitting, to which the SHINee member replied that it was more comfortable for him to be sitting down than standing up.

But the chair excuse couldn’t be maintained as Jonghyun had to stand up to introduce the next performers. Again to save himself from embarrassment, he asked the other taller MCs to match his eye levels. The two actors playfully posed with their “manner legs” to adjust to Jonghyun’s height.
