Megan Lee, a new artist of Soul Shop Entertainment, which is handled by g.o.d's Kim Tae Woo, is now in controversy as she filed a lawsuit against her agency for her disagreement in contract. She has submitted a request of injuction in the Seoul Central District Court on November 25.

A representative on Megan's side has stated that the contract was not fair, which includes breach of penalties and scheduling the artist with her knowledge. The representative said, "We had set a schedule abroad with permission from the agency, but the agency then went ahead and signed a contract with the musical ‘All Shook Up’ on their own. They used Megan Lee’s bank seal without her permission."

Meanwhile on November26, Soul Shop Entertainment issued their statemnt, saying that Megan Lee's contract was not unfair, "The contract is set for a period of five years from her debut date. This is actually a shorter period of time than the average contract length as outlined by the Fair Trade Commission."

They added, "Aside from album and record sales, all profits are split with Megan Lee fifty-fifty; compared with other celebrities, this is not unfair at all for a rookie singer."

Soul Shop Entertainment clarified about the December 7 scheduled musical, "We received an offer from an American agency in May and sent Megan Lee’s audition video, but we hadn’t heard back in four months. She participated in the ‘All Shook Up’ audition after receiving an offer, and we signed with the musical on September 12. Only in October did we receive word from the American agency, saying that Megan Lee made it to the final audition round for an American drama."

The agency further explained that Megan notified them, on November 16 that she will pursue the American audition and had missed her musical schedule. She returned on November 19 and did not tell anyone but went to the musical practice. Her mother contacted the musical production and not the agency about the lawsuit and that she could not do the musical.

Also, Soul Shop Entertainment's Kil Gun presented that Megan did not have any releases in the one year and four months she has been with the agency.
