IU behaviour in the recent episode of SBS’ “Inkigayo” got a lot of fans concerned. On the October 27 broadcast, “The Red Shoes” singer was slightly a bit lacklustre, noticeably different from her usually cheerful self, which lead fans to wonder why the singer was acting like so.
IU was brought to an interview together with girl group T-ara as they were two of the three nominees for the week’s number on spot. The T-ara members were all smiles as they greeted fans and even sang a line from “Number 9”. IU, however, looked rather blank as she simply asked viewers to vote for her title track.
The lack of emotion caused quite a stir, as IU is well known for her friendly and jolly image. She was also an “Inkigayo” MC in the past, that’s why viewers easily chalked up the difference. Viewers are now wondering if this had something to do with the “plagiarism controversy” in which the singer was recently embroiled in. “The Red Shoes” was likened to Nekta’s 2009 track “Here’s Us”. The arrangement and the jazz sound is strikingly similar, listeners suggested. Nekta is a jazz duo from Germany.
